Consumer Advice
Calcium phosphates are the calcium salts of phosphoric acid, used as leavening components, anti-caking agents, calcium fortifiers and moisture retainers in baking powder, flour products, biscuits, cheese and calcium-fortified drinks, while also supplying calcium. They are safe mineral salts with no health risk at authorised levels and can even support calcium intake. There is no reason for concern.
